    Summer Reading Novel-My Life in Pink and Green
    2/5 stars. This book talked about the main character, Lucy Desberg, and her mother's drugstore. Her mother's drugstore is struggling to make money and Lucy wants to make a way to keep the store in business. Lucy goes to a club after school that teaches her about going green, like how to keep a place green and not to spend a lot of money. I didn't like this book because it was not entertaining and it didn't have enough action or suspense in it for me to enjoy the book.

    3/5 stars. The plot of the book is that when you are around the ages of 10-15 you are an ugly and then you turn 16 you become a pretty. All Tally wants is to pretty and see her friend that turned pretty. Tally then meets a girl named Shay and she changes everything Tally thought about being pretty. I enjoyed this book because it had action in it and the characters had great character development which added a lot to the story.

    4/5 stars. This story is about a gang of teens named the Greasers and they live on East Side, which is like the poor side. While the Greasers' rivals, the Socs are the rich kids that live on the West Side which is the rich side of town. Ponyboy, the main character, and his friend Johnny are both Greasers and they are with some Socs that were chasing them, and the Socs start a fight that led to Johnny to kill one of them. I liked this story because it talked about hardships of friends.

    5/5 stars. This story revolves around the character Liesel, and she lives in the time of the Nazis Liesel is adopted by Hans and Rosa. Liesel meets many different people and she meets a Jew named Max, which the Hubermanns keep Max in their basement which is not allowed. I truly loved this book because it has amazing characters and has almost everyone crying at the end. This book talks about an important event in history, and this may have happened to someone or something similar.

    3/5 stars. This was the second book in the series Uglies, this book follows Tally through all the decisions she has made in the previous book. She follows a plan the Madison gave her which ultimately fails.

    2/5 stars. This book continues the long story of Tally and all her mistakes that come back to her. She regrets a lot and this book has Tally guessing why people did the things they had to and what should she have fixed.

    3/5 stars. The conflict of this book is that Melody has a disability that is called cerebral palsy which is basically a disability that doesn't allow Melody to talk or control her body. This conflict causes Melody to get frustrated with people because they can't understand what she wants or needs. To over come this is gets a wheelchair that allows her to type and say what she wants or what she needs.I enjoyed this book because I got to see the world in a different way.

    4/5 stars. Mare lives in a world where blood separates what class you would be in, Mare is a red blood. Red bloods are poor and usually serve Sliver bloods, while Sliver bloods are rich and are usually are nobles or kings or queens. I liked this book because it had a lot of action at times it was confusing but overall really good descriptions and have very good characters.

    4/5 stars. Jonas lives in a world that takes away any freedom in what people and choose. In the community that Jonas lives in people can't choose their own partner, job, clothes, what to eat, and anything that makes people different, its called sameness. Jonas finds out that he is the Receiver of Memory, which means he stands out, or is different, can see what others can't, see beyond. I enjoyed this book because it shows people that life is a gift that you choose how to use it.
