My Personal Timeline

  • Birth

    Birth
I was born in Fountain Valley Hospital. I am a single child, born with no siblings.
  • First Day of School

    First Day of School
I skipped preschool and went straight to kindergarten. I was nervous at first, but I grew out of it quickly.
  • Playing the Violin

    Playing the Violin
In fourth grade, my elementary offered orchestra to all students ranging from fourth to sixth grade and band fifth to sixth grade. My cousin gave me his violin that he had bought from the time that he was in fourth grade and I got hooked into music.
  • Joined Volleyball Program

    Joined Volleyball Program
This was the first time I had ever played volleyball and I joined a program outside of school during sixth grade. I had watched an anime that focuses on volleyball and it got me excited and it encouraged me to try out the sport and this was probably the best thing that happened to me in my life so far.
  • Graduating from Elementary

    Graduating from Elementary
For Garden Grove, elementary schools go up to sixth grade so I went up to intermediate school where there are only seventh and eighth grade. I was afraid of being separated from my friends, but excited to start at a new school.
  • Intermediate/Middle School

    Intermediate/Middle School
This was my first day moving up to an intermediate school. Everything was unusual to me because you go from staying in one classroom all day to having six classes and I ended up going to the wrong classroom for my fifth period on the first day.
  • Joining ASB

    Joining ASB
Halfway through my first year of intermediate school, my cousin encouraged me to join ASB and be a part of the student government at my school. I made it in after an interview and paperwork and it was a highly influential event in my life. I most likely would be a completely different person if I had not joined.
  • Joining NJHS

    Joining NJHS
NJHS stands for National Junior Honor Society and is similar to NHS found in many high schools. It helped me raise and maintain my GPA and got me more involved too. It was meant for eighth graders so at the end of seventh grade, me and a few others were invited and accepted.
  • Joining Honor Orchestra

    Joining Honor Orchestra
I played the violin until I graduated from intermediate school and in my last year, eighth grade, I decided to try out for honor orchestra because I was highly enthusiastic about music at the time. The experience of seeing others playing other instruments inspired me to try out other instruments, but I ended up dropping music all together once I got to high school.
  • ASB in High School

    ASB in High School
At the end of eighth grade, my cousin encouraged me to drop music and join the student government at Bolsa Grande. I went through the process and I made it and I was very happy and excited to be a part of ASB for yet another year. We bonded together and became close like family.
  • Men's League

    Men's League
The ASB adviser at Bolsa is also the adviser for Men's League, more commonly named Boys League at other schools. Men's League is a community service club for sophomores to seniors, but my adviser wanted a freshman to join so he invited me in without having to go through any paperwork or interviews, since I had already done so for ASB, and I became the very first Men's League freshman at Bolsa.
  • OCL

    OCL
OCL stands for Orange County Leadership and it is a 4 day 3 night event for all student governments in Orange County held at UCSB. Schools from all over OC came to UCSB and we stayed in their dorms. There were workshops for leadership and how to to deal with certain things on campus or different ideas for new events as well as a dance every night. Bolsa was one of many schools that participated in a talent show where we danced and performed and we won first place for OCL 2018.
  • High School

    High School
I started high school and it was a new experience, especially with ASB and Men's League. Every single day I would stay back until 4 to 6 PM for ASB, some days I'd work services for Men's League with some services after school, on the weekend early in the morning starting usually from 8 AM ending around 1 PM, but some services were more extreme starting at 3 AM ending at 1 PM.
  • Leaving ASB

    Leaving ASB
At Bolsa, the term for my freshman year was basically if you join ASB then you are a member from the moment you are accepted at the end of the year until the end of the following school year. My adviser despised males who played volleyball due to previous male ASB and volleyball students ignoring their ASB responsibilities. My adviser kicked me and 2 others out of ASB without us doing anything wrong, simply just because he didn't like volleyball boys. Every other sport was fine, even girls vb.
  • High School Volleyball Team

    High School Volleyball Team
I had tryouts for volleyball and I participated and made it on the JV team. Being on the team was a very influential time frame because people who are on the team are all people who greatly love the sport and we are always trying to find a time to play and improve. I learned a lot about others, improved, won games, lost games, had my first experience of being on a team competing, and we landed tied for first place in JV with La Quinta at the end of our season.
