Shedd Aquarium
After waking up late and haveing breakfast at the hotel, I will travel to the world renowned Shedd Aquarium and see the dolphin show and the many other exhibits that they have to offer. Several hours of fun later, I'll have a nice dinner in downtown Chicago. -
Field Museum
The Field Museum is a massive museum that has exhibits that begin with the dinosuars, millions of years ago, all the way to present day elephants. Besides just stuffed animals and skeltons, the museum also has many geological, astronomical, and archeological displays aswell. -
Seurs Tower
My last day in Chicago will not be wasted! Today I will be going to the Sears Tower a 1,451 foot tall tower in downtown Chicago, the tallest in the United States (Willis Tower, par1-2). The view was absolutely stunning standing at the top floor locking down, a little scary actually! After this tour I'll make sure I buying some suveniors from the many stores in Chicago and have a nice dinner befor I leave. -
Traveling
This day will be full of flying. I start off in the Chicago airport and catch a flight that will cross the Atlantic and land in Madrid, a totall of 8 hours! By this time the 1st of March will be over and it will now the 2nd, but I still have a 3 hour flight from Madrid to Rome before I can rest. -
The Coliseum
The first day in Rome will be very exciteing without a doubt. Rome is a relatively safe city except for pickpockets and its culture is mostly based around food and eating out. Surprisingly enough however, Rome has a relatively open boarder that allows people to come and go, only seeking legal counsel when a person wishes to gain perminent residence.
The Colosseum is one of Romes largest tourist attractions, one of the oldest, and a symbol against the death penalty(Colosseum par.18). -
Tour of Vatican City
St.Peter's Basilica, the most exciting part of my tour through Vatican City, is the largest Christian church in the world, holding 60,000 people. This church is considered the 'Mother Church' for the Catholic denomination and is also the burial place of St. Peter, along with some 91 popes and others(St.Peter's Basilica, par 1,66). Beside this historic site my tour will also take me to the Sistine Chapel, and some of Vatican City's museums! -
Returning
After this long and insightful trip I will have to make a long treacherous trip back to Tulsa. From the Rome airport I'll catch my flight at 6:35 AM and fly for two hours to Brussels. Once there I'll begin the next leg of my journey, crossing the Atlantic. Nine hours later I'll arrive at the JFK New York airport. From there I'll flie back to Chicago and then back to Tulsa, not arriving back in Oklahoma until 10:20 PM.
