Birth
The time was six nineteen am.This was the third time over a couple of weeks my mother had been to the hospital.I was ten days late.
Finally early in the morning, they had to rush to the hospital;My father , two sisters , and aunt.Two and a half hours later, I was born, wieghing in at nine pounds nine ounces, and twenty one inches long. -
Farewell to Ithaca
Odysseus's son had just been born , but odysseus didn't stay long. He was called upon to help fight in the war on Troy. He hoped to survive and return to his son in Ithaca. He was very sad that he could not be there for his son. It was my first day of school, and I was unware of what was happening. We gathered all my stuff and headed for school.Still unware of what was happening, we went inside. That's when it happened. My mother stayed to get me situated but i just cryed all day. -
Circe's advise
Circe told odysseus the if he goes by scylla aand sacrafice some of his men. He lost most of his men ,but the rest of them along with his ship were eaten. Some parts of the ship came back up, and he used it to swim. The best and most helpful advise i have ever heard is , It's better to be safe than sorry. That is very interesting because it goes along with most everything. I have used it many times , and it is very helpful. -
The trojan horse
Most of the romans thougt they were defeated, and needed to retreat. Then odysseus got a great creative idea to make a jiant wooden horse as a "gift for Troy defeating them". The trick about the horse was that the romans would hide in it and come out and kill all of Troy.
I went to a musical festival with my parents one year. I went off and looked around and found a chinese box puzzel,it was amazing! I checked the prise and knew what i had to do.I juggled and earned enough to buy it. -
The lotus eaters
Odysseus arrived at an island and sent rwo men out. They never came back so he went to find them, and when he did they would not come back. They had to whip them back to the boat. While I was riding the bus one day, a big car passed by. That doesnt seem strange , it was what the car looked like. It was a huge hot dog in a bun on wheels. People have told me about the car, but i had never seen it. -
Cyclop's cave
Odysseus had just arived and met a cyclop.They did not get along well ,and he needed to get out of there. He and his men took the cyclop's eye out, then escaped the cave.
It was a snowball fight and I only had one snowball left. My brother was looking for me , then i threw my last snowball and hid back.My brother turned quickly and stared right at my hiding spot , but he then got hit by someone else. while he looked over in that direction , I made a run for it! He didnt even notice! -
Defeat of the suitors
Odysseus had been furious with the suitors ,but just wanted penelope back. He knew the suitors would not budge without a fight.He killed all of them with his son. He had been outnumbered ,but managed to win the battle. In middle school p.e we would play dodgeball sometimes, and i would stay in the whole time. I could not get anyone out , but I could dodge. This one game I stayed in , then amazingly got everyone else out. I had defeated the other team by myselfy! -
Calypso's island
Odysseus had just lost his men and ship, so he floated on some wood left from the ship. Then he spotted an island and swam. calypso , the owner, kept him as a "prisnor", because she was in love with him. He was not and wanted to leave. I had to visit a relatives house , but really didnt want to. My parents made me stay the night , and i tryed to just go to sleep so i could leave. That day i felt very trapped , but I could not do anything about it. -
Penelope
Penelope showed that she would not give up on him. She kept trying to stall a little lomger for odysseus. That is the most loyal thing she could have dome , because she loves him.
I had a friend ,that no one would ever guess, that I could share everything with. This person would never tell anything , and we would solve each others problems. This person was the most loyal person in my whole life, so far. -
Athena's guidence
Odysseus cannot have this adventure on his own. Like everyone else, he needs a little advise or help. Athena liked Odysseus , and was very generouse with help. She guided him , and his journey throught his life. I have several people that guide me ; my parents,school,God, and friends. They all help me get through my life ,and help with hard times. My friends can have a big influence on me. Without all of there help , I would not be able to live. -
Pillaging of the Ciccones
Odysseus and his men went to an island , and he sent his men to search and pilladge it. What he did not know is that his men would be killed. They had to get off that island quick. He had realized what he would need to do next time they do something like that. My worst mistake was leaving a candle burning while i slept. The candle had lit my blanket , and burned into my leg. I shou,d have known better, but now i know for sure not to ever do it. -
The sirens
Odysseus had to hear what the sirens were singing but his men keep rowing. His men could not let him out no mdder what happened.He kept trying to get out but never succeded.
As for me, I can never help myself when i see or smell ham. I love ham, and when it comes out of the smoker i have to try a piece as soon as possible. Ham is my favorite food, so i can't resist. -
Down to hades
Odysseus was in need of help to get home. He needed to talk to Teiresias, to figure out how to get home,safely. He traveled to the underworld and talked to him. He told him , and odysseus went. I would want to talk to JFK. He is my favorite president,and I would ask him how he would fix the country. I would love to just meet him, even if I didnt have a question. -
Singing your praises
Odyssues has qualities that interest the gods like :strenght, control of fate, intellect, and insight. These impress the gods ,because unlike most mortals he uses these qualites for good. He sacrifices for his family, men and the gods. I have things like : Persistence, musical ability, creatility, and intellect. To me these would get the gods attention. I try for the best when i want to do something. When i first started trumpet ,I wanted to be the best, and now I am great. -
Scylla or Charybdis
Odysseus and his men had to cross either one of the two monsters, but ended up crossing both. First most of the men died , then the rest were swallowed along with the ship. Odysseus alone survived. I can never think of what i want for christmas. Every year has been really hard to figure out. That is one of the hardest desicions i have every year.
