I was born in Regional Hospital in Bayamón
I was born in Bayamón and I have lived a lifetime in the same place. When I was born my mother always said that I was a princess. My big sister and my mother always talk a lot to me. -
My First Word
My first word was a couple of days before I turned 1 year old I refered to my twin brother as Tata. My mother says that since I started talking I have never stop. -
Fisrt day of school
I started my kindergarten when I was 4 years old because my mother thought that I was prepared. In kindergarten I began learning how to talk, write and understand my vernacular language. Was in kindergarten when offically I was starting to understand how my vernacular language works. I began learning how to read and write and I was experimenting how with the language I had the opportunity communicate with others. -
Rafael Martínez Nadal Elementary School
When I was in the fifth grade in the elementary school I began to get interested in English learning because of the teacher that I had because she was really compromise with her work of making the difference with her students. And she was a real teacher passionate with her work. In that school year I had to give a lot of oral reports and I live it. Because I loved to learn how to pronounced words and I loved to know that I was speaking in other language. -
My english learning process in the middle school
in middle school my interest in learning English increased due to another English teacher that was significant, as she taught English. I learn a lot with her about how to express in English. -
My English class experience in high school
At high school specifictly when I was in my senior year I had a wonderful experience in the english class. The teacher was excellent she really wanted her students to learn. There I could express and we also made a lot of oral presentations. -
Basic English class in the university of Puerto Rico
When I started in the university I took a basic English course where I reinforce my English skills already learn in the school and by interacting with others in the society. It was a learning experience because the teacher was a really good teacher and she force us to talk in English most of the time during the class. We also did a lot of investigations that integrated reading and oral reports. -
Trip to Virginia
When I was only 18 years old I did a trip to Virginia. I went to this trip all by myself without company . Even that I knew the English language I wasn't that fluently when speaking. But when I got there I encountered that everyone there talk's in English so I had to make an effort to speak so the others could understand me. It was a wonderful learning experience because there in Virginia States I lost my fear of speaking in English and began to speak more fluently. -
Trip to China
When I traveled to China on July of 2009 Ihad a wonderful experience with language because in that trip I didn't only speak English I also was emerge with other languages and cultures. In some of the cultures even that they speak in English they speak differently. I also learn that people that speak spanish from other nationalities they speak it differently as we speak here in Puerto Rico. They had an accent and they use different words with different meaning as the ones that we use. -
Teaching kindergarten on a bilingual school
When I had the experience and the opportunity of teaching a kindergarten in English was a challenge. But I did it and I have to admit that was a wonderful experience because for the first time I had the experience of passing my knowledge with English language. I taught my students how to express, read and write in English it was really amazing. -
Teaching science and math classes in English
At present I teach in Silvestre Martínez school at Naranjito. Teaching second grade students in a new bilingual public school. Until today I'm having an excellent experience teaching an English. -
Bilingual Certification at Sagrado University
Since September 22 I am taking classes to complete the bilingual certification. I am taking two courses this semester. I know that I am going to learn a lot from this experience .
