    My first day of middle school was in late August. Right when I walked into the doors of HMS-7 I was on the path of adulthood.
  • First Seventh Grade Football Game

    All the hard work we put in practice as a team was just about to pay off at out home field. Our first middle school game was against Salina Lakewood in mid September and we won.
  • First Seventh Grade School Dance

    We just finished up our first trimester and to celebrate, we had a school dance. The theme was white or neon bright colors, and that was the first time in my life that I've seen a room so lit up.
  • Last Seventh Grade Wrestling Match

    My last seventh grade wrestling match was in mid February against a kid from Goddard I lost to earlier in the season. But this time, I won 6 to 2. I ended out my season with a win.

    My first track invitational was in the seventh grade at Gowan's Stadium. It was my biggest meet in my whole season and I was so excited to go out and represent my school in front of my home crowd.

    My sixth track meet of my seventh grade season was at Haysville West and I was just about to run the 200 meter hurdles. Once I was up I got onto my blocks on the starting line, and then, POW! The race was on. I ran my best race the whole season and I still finished in 2nd place.
  • Last Day Of seventh Grade

    My last day of seventh grade was in mid May and I was so relieved and happy that it was all over and also, kinda sad. My first year of middle school in books, next up, HMS-8.

    Back to school. Unlike the year before I was ready and confident and eager to go out and succeed in everything I do, whether it was academically or athletically. I was ready.

    The first eighth grade football game of the season was in mid September at Salina. And just like the year before, we blew the Lakewood Mustangs out the water at their own house. (Fun Fact: That was our only win of the season)
  • Last Eighth Grade Football Game

    Our last eighth grade football game was against Newton at Newton, and we lost. We lost be six points and it was one of our toughest losses of the season.
  • Fall 8th Grade Choir Concert

    My fist choir concert in the 8th grade went well. As a whole we sounded great and preformed like champs.
  • EVERYBODY EATS!

    After the football season, my friend Jake (Jake Huhs, from your 8th hour) and I were hanging out after the school day and stumbled upon one of the greatest people of the decade Kelvin, actually known as "The Deer Whisperer." Kelvin is from Chicago and he has deer that live in his backkyard and he feeds them. Those deer are a part of the 'Deer Squad." So Kelvin his "Deer Squad" go around and help people that are living on the streets, whether it's feeding them, clothing them, etc. He's helping.
  • Eighth Grade Season Wrestling Pioneer League Tournament

    This year ended my wrestling season by losing twice in the tournament. It's not the way how I wanted to finish out but it taught me that you have to work for everything to achieve your goals in life.
