My all time favorite childhood cartoon
I was a huge fan of Barney. My mom always told me that i used to get up and started dancing because i loved it that much. She knew that as soon as the clock hit the right time, i was going to be ready to have some fun.
Barney was not only fun to watch but it also taught me the value of reading and writing. I saw him as one of my heros and he made me see the world of art and education fun and exciting.

I remeber that i was very excited for my first day of Kindergarten but also was very scared because i didnt wanted to leave my home where i was all the time. Huron Middle School
It was a turn when i attended middle school. At that time, my reading was not as good. I was placed in low reading and had to pass 3 classes in order to be placed into the regular english classes. The classes were HighPoint Level A,B, and C.
They were easy classes but the tests seemed hard. Eventually i was placed in regular englsih and had an excellent english teacher (Ms.Lujhan) that showed us the real fun of what the English Language Arts world.

    Choosen For Year
One of the best things of my middle school years was getting choosen to be in the yearbook for "most likely to succeed".
I was thrilled and speechless because getting picked to be part of the year book was something i did not see it coming and it made me realize that after all the struggles i went through, i was still able to be successful
  • Coalinga High School

    Coalinga High School
Going to the bigger years of school was definelty more sacarier than Kindergarten. My freshmen year i joined track which was a great experience. As for my 10th and 11th grade years, they were decent. I did all my work on time and got good grades. My senior year was the best. All the trips and events and not to forget my favorite English Teacher Ms.Alo that was the one who made me go for a English Ed major.
  • West Hills Community College

  • What College?

    What College?
During my Senior Year, i found myself conflicted because i dint know what college was i going to attend. I had applied to 6 different institutions and out of all those, i was accepted to 5.
CSU Fresno State, Bakersfield, Monteray, and UC Merced.
They all were great schools but it was a tough decision to make. I had to ask for different opinions and basically follow what my heart was telling me.
  • Upward Bound Program

    Upward Bound Program
I had a privelage to work with the program for the summer of 2014-2015. I was a Residential Advisor where would stay in the college dorms four days a week for six weeks. It was one stressful job because as an advisor, i had to get up at 6 in the morning to wake up my students so that they could attend classes and do thier daily activites.
This were high school students that were taking summer classes to advance and it was not easy but at the end, i learned how tough it is to teach a student.

I was president of a Trio Club that hosted events and also attended college trips.
The biggest accomplishment was being the 2014 graduation speaker for my class. It was such an honor.

    Transferring to Fresno State
So far, atteding Fresno State has been a great expereince. This is my 2nd year as a transfer student and i have accomplished a lot. My first semester was a challenge and mainly it was the two english classes i was taking. They were not easy but it was suprising that i passed them with B's.
Today, my classes are better and i have learned things that i though I' never learned. I plan on graduating and getting into the credential progam and getting my Masters in Communications or Education
