My life in a nutshell

  • The day I was born

    The day I was born
This event was important to me because this was the time life began for me. This was a start of a new life. Also my mom told me that this was the happiest moment of her life.
  • Moving from New York to Arizona

Moving from New York to Arizona
During this time we drove all the way from New York to Arizona. We stayed at hotel, and constantly went out to eat. We drove through many cities, and finally after seven days we made it.
  • Family trip to california

    Family trip to california
This was the lowest point of my life. I can remember it as clear as day. We were on a family trip. My dad decided to park in a corner of a store, so he could look up the direction of where we were going. Next thing you no about 15 to 20 police cars come from out of nowhere and cut off our entrance. It was literally a scene out of a movie. There were cops everywhere and each one of them were pointing a gun at our car. One of them actually pulled out a shotgun. They arrested each one of us.
  • Me and my sister were taken away from our parents and had to stay with a women while they were in jail for three days

Me and my sister were taken away from our parents and had to stay with a women while they were in jail for three days
While my parents were in jail we had to stay with a foster parent, and this women was absolutely terrible. Not only was her food disgusting, but she didn't even let me wear boy clothes. I was wearing girl jeans the whole entire time I was with her. PS. this was the only image I could find to represent what I was going through
  • We stayed in a shelter for about 6 months because we did not have the money to go back to Arizona

We stayed in a shelter for about 6 months because we did not have the money to go back to Arizona
That's right, the fun never ends in my family. We had to stay in a disguisting shelter because my parents practically had no money. You know you will always hear a person who says that their life sucks, yet none of them had this type of experience before. If you never gone through this type of experience or something even worse, then your life does not suck. There is absolutely nothing to reminisce about this place.
  • We had to move to the Mary Isaac Center shelter, because my dad lost his job. We stayed for two years.

We had to move to the Mary Isaac Center shelter, because my dad lost his job. We stayed for two years.
Hence the saying "all good thing must come to a end". My dad lost his job and everything went downhill. Enough said.
  • After staying in the shelter, we stayed in a hotel for a year.

After staying in the shelter, we stayed in a hotel for a year.
My dad finally got a very good paying job and for that one year eveything was great. We always had delicious food to eat. We could use the internet any time we wanted. Everything was perfectly normal.
  • We moved back In Arizona me and my family stayed with our uncle jamal for 3 months

We moved back In Arizona me and my family stayed with our uncle jamal for 3 months
After saving enough money my family moved back to Arizona to stay with my uncle. Well this experience was not that bad, it was just completely weird that I had to stay with my uncle under his roof for almost a year.
  • We finally moved to a place of our own and stayed there for a year

We finally moved to a place of our own and stayed there for a year
Thank god or whoever that we were finally able to stay in our own place. We were able to live a normal enough life. At least that's what I thought.
  • My dad lost his job again and eventually we were losing funds and the ability to pay the rent. My mom finally decided to leave him.

Holy zombie jesus are we cursed? As soon as we start building up our life it all comes crashing down. My mom eventaully could not take it and decided to leave my father. Now it is just me, my sister, and my mom. We have started a brand new life here in Arizona, and right now our life is changing for the better.
