Parents immigrated to Canada
My parents and my one year old sister, at the time, immigrated to Canada from Serbia for a better life. My aunt, uncle and cousins were already in Canada so my parents moved into their apartment. Later on, when my parents got jobs, they bought their own house and car. -
My Birth
I was born on February 5th 1999. It was a really cold day and freezing rain was falling. When my mom was walking to the car to go to the hospital, she slipped on a patch of ice and almost fell. -
Serbia and Croatia trip
My parents, uncle, aunt and I went to Serbia and Croatia for three weeks. We visited all our friends and family and ate alot of Serbia food which was delicious. -
Pet Bird
My mom's friend gave us her white cockatoo bird which was named Bella. Since I was only 3 years old, I dont really remember much about our pet bird, but I do remember that my sister and Bella were very close. My mom, however, didn't like Bella because she was messy and so she returned Bella to her friend once again. -
First day of school
It was my first day of school ever, my junior kindergarten year. While the other children were crying becuase they didn't want to leave their moms, I was really excited to go. I loved school and would come home and tell my mom everything I learned each day. My teachers name was Mrs. Cassidy. She was really nice and I loved her. I'm the really tall mad looking pink girl on the far left in the picture. -
Trip to Serbia
My mom and I went to Serbia. My dad and sister were home alone. When we came back, the house was a mess and nearly all the food was gone. I was only 5 years old so I didnt remember much of the trip, but we stayed at my grandpa's house and visited other family members. -
Prince Edward Island
My family and I went to Prince Edward Island. We drove there with our car, which took us about 2 days. We stopped at different parks, and tourist attractions during the way. When we got to P.E.I it was dark and there were three foxes on the parking lot to our hotel we were going to stay in. My mom got scared and wouldnt get out of the car, but eventually the foxes went away so we walked to the hotel. -
Owen sound
My family and I went camping in Owen Sound with our close friends. We camped for 5 days. Our campsite was right by the lake so we swam alot. My sister, our friend and I made a huge sand castle with a bridge and river. Then in the evenings my dad and our friend would make huge fires where we would toast our marshmallows and make smores. -
Family trip to Serbia and Croatia
My family and I went to Serbia, and Croatia for 3 weeks. We visited family and friends that we havent seen in a long time. Everyone but mu unle, aunt and second cousins live in Serbia and Croatia. My Serbian unlce took us sightseeing through the city of Belgrade and we went to the beach. -
Trip to Manitoulin Island
My family and I took a farry to Manitoulin Island and planned on staying there for about a week. When we came there however, my mom didnt like it and didnt want to stay. So we walked around and then a day later we left. -
Cuba
My family and I went to Varadero, Cuba for a week. We stayed at a resort that was 5 minutes away from the beach. We had three restaurants and 4 different pools. We swam, ate and relaxed the whole time. We had good food and I really liked the cheese and ham sandwiches that we ate. -

FHCI innovate program
I applied for the FHCI innovate program and then a couple weeks later I got the acceptence letter which I accepted. -
First Job
I got a job a Harveys and sept.19th was my first training day. I had a tour of the restaurant and got my uniform: black pants, black shirt and a viser. I was taught how to garnish the hamburgers, wraps and how to make poutine.
A couple weeks before, I handed my resume in to team member in Harveys and they got the manager. Then, the manager aked me if we could have an interview right now, and I said yes. After that, he told me that I got the job and was going to call me when the uniform came.
