My Life

  • My Best Friend

    My Best Friend
I met my best friend Kayla Rampolla in preschool. We use to always play this game where our feet were attached to each other and we couldn’t get them unattached. We have been attached at the hip ever since. She has been there for me through practically my whole life. She has seen me at my worst and my best. Through deaths and breakups. She is my absolute rock. She is a sister to me and shaped me into the person I am today along with my family.
  • Hikes With Grandma

    Hikes With Grandma
My sisters, my mom, and I would always go hiking with my grandma. My grandma loved nature and knew everything about it. She would take her three dogs and we would take ours. My grandma would also invite her friend Rita and sometimes after we would go to her house for breakfast. The last time we went it was a place in North Salem and everyone was there and we watched the sunset go down and after we went to my grandma's house and stayed in her hot tub for the rest of the time.
  • Bat Girl

    Bat Girl
I first fell in love with softball when my oldest sister was playing on Varsity. I was asked to be the bat girl for the team. Every game I would sit on the bench with sprite and reeses and wait to get the bats. After every game, I would stand in the circle with the team talking about the game. It got me excited to play softball and now I am playing on Varsity trying to get into college for softball. If it wasn't for being a bat girl I would not have fell as in love with the sport.
  • My Best Friend Thomas

    My Best Friend Thomas
I met my other best friend Thomas in 4th grade. It was in Mrs. Recine class and we sat right next to each other in each class. On the first day of school I brought in erasers shaped like animals you could take apart and he took one of mine. He has been taking almost everything of mine ever since. If I didn’t become so close with him I would be lost without him. He is a big part of my life and I don’t know what I would do without him.
  • Brewster Bear Mascot

    Brewster Bear Mascot
I was the beginning, halftime, and ending show for my sister's volleyball team. Dancing in front of a big crowd in a bear costume made me find my beat for dancing and becoming the outgoing person I am today. Teachers now come up to me and talk about it with me to this day of how funny I was. It’s a good feeling to know when someone is having a bad day you are the reason they smile. That’s why I always try to be so joyful all the time because it makes people laugh.
  • Saving My Dog's Life

    Saving My Dog's Life
I only had my dog, Cody, for a year when I saved his life. Every time my dogs would come in from outside I would pet them for hours especially their ears. I was petting Cody and his ears were hard. It was not normal all at because his ears were always super floppy. I told my mom right away and she took him to the vet. It turns out his whole face was swollen and it was good when we brought him in when we did. Now I always pet animals ears for now on just to be safe.
  • Starting Crossfit

    Starting Crossfit
I started CrossFit because all my sisters did it and my dad really wanted me to. My first day trying out CrossFit we back squatted and I back squatted 75 pounds. Now after doing it for so long I can squat 185 pounds. Crossfit has shown me how to get through a workout mentally. Working out has always been an outlet for me ever since I started CrossFit. It is also great to see how much I have improved and the people I met through the gym.
  • My First Job

    My First Job
I started my first job with the Town of Southeast Basketball Recreation. I’ve played basketball since I was in Kindergarten so being able to work in it was fun. What I did and still do is scorekeep for 4th and 5th grade basketball and then referee for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders to teach them how to play basketball and then scorekeep for high school boys. I coached my first 4th and 5th grade team this year and we might have only won one game, it was super fun to be able to coach.
  • 23 Under Tournament Home Run

    23 Under Tournament Home Run
I was thinking about going to college for softball so hitting a home run against a college pitcher was an amazing feeling. My sister has been playing with all these girls since she was 12 and I was on the sideline cheering them on. I finally was able to play with them but I was only a runner for the pitcher or catcher. The coach decided to put me in to hit and I was the only one who hit a home run the whole tournament. It was a big part of my softball career and something I won’t forget.
  • My Favorite Cousin Was Born

    My Favorite Cousin Was Born
On my dad's side of the family, I have been the youngest out of all my cousins for the past 14 years. My aunt gave birth to the cutest little kid in the world. Her name is Ava and she is by far the goofiest, sweetest kid I’ve ever met. The day she was born was such an exciting day for me because I wasn’t the youngest anymore. I remember thinking about how I’m going to be the coolest cousin for her and thinking about her when she grows up.
  • First Day as a Lifeguard

    First Day as a Lifeguard
I officially started my lifeguarding job at the end of the summer. I spent a whole weekend from 7am-10pm for three days learning to be a lifeguard. The only reason why I got the job was because I have been volunteering there since I was 13 years old. My first day was very stressful and exciting because it was the biggest day of the year when a lot of people from Brewster go. The highlight of my job is working with my best friends Kayla and Jason.
  • Samantha's Senior Night

    Samantha's Senior Night
I have been watching my sister Samantha play softball since I was a baby. I have been at every softball tournament into her college years all the way to her last game. Before she played her last game we went onto the field. My mom was hysterically crying while my dad had the biggest smile on his face. I have been looking up to Samantha for sports all my life and to see her play her last game was upsetting. It was quite the journey watching her play and I’m excited to follow in her footsteps.
  • My Aunts Birthday

    My Aunts Birthday
My aunt Tine has stage 4 breast cancer so for her birthday my family and I went down to see her. We all went to Disney including her 3 year old child. My aunt had to do so many things in order for her to be able to be healthy throughout the whole day. She can only eat things that grow out of the ground and has to do a bunch of self-medication. It was a lot to handle but I can tell she was so happy that we were there it was like cancer didn’t exist.
