Date of Birth
Hi my name is Emilia Eve I was just born in a small and crowded hospital. I grew up in Rhode Island. My family gave me the best they could. I was the only child. My parents worked hard so we all could have a nice life style. My mother would often made clothing and sold it for money. My father was a blacksmith, most of the times he would make horse shoes for the farmers near by's horses. My family and I hoped to gain by making our daily lives more manageable. -
Heading to Ellis Island
Getting ready to head on to a boat to start my voyage.Headed out off of the dock and sailed out two miles and never looked back. Had a rough night, had storms and cold winds along the way. I saw beautiful weeping willows drifting in the bright, blue winds durning the daytime. From all the trees around and summer just starting up the insects were bad by the dawn hit and evening came. At nights I heard dozens of crickets from distances away. Water lillies traveled with me as well. -
Still Traveling
Got use to being on the boat. Stopped on other dock to eat some real food instead of fish and crab. Met other travelers on the way to Ellis Island. Other travlers came on board with me to have the same hopes as i have. -
Half way There
Feeling homesick and board of seeing the same surrounds at first but, now I got far into this adventure and I have a doubt going through my mind...such as like if I made the right descion on going through with this courgaes time procces. Met other travelers like me as well along the way onto bigger and better life changing desions. My family put there hopes high and I dont want to let then down by me turning back now. They want to gain perspective in what's really out there. -
Close to ending
So tempted to turn back now but keep moving forward. On the way I start feeling emotional and lightheaded probability from looking out all day at the horizon. I pasted construction sighs in progress on the right of my boat named the "Adventure Lane." Looking at my wore down map to Ellis Island realizing that it's possible I might of have less than 4 more miles to sail on "Adventure Lane." -
Coming to the end
More and more sail boats and fancy rich boats surround me as i'm to go towards dock. I went on the rear on the boat and go ahold of my brown tore up 10 foot rope and in motion of housting my body up on the seawater dock. Beable to walk without tilting left and right of the boat was a reilef and now I could just head on my trail of luck and hope and hopeful there's know disaapointment alone the way.
