I Was Born
This is the day I was born. That's the most important thing on this timeline because it's the day I started existing. -
Games
I've been a fan of video games ever since I was very little. I find video games great because they can tell a great story that you get to partake in. Or it can be a game that has a deep level of strategy that force you to think 5 steps ahead. In my opinion, video games can let you lead fantastical lives and save the world multiple times over. It's a great break away from the sometimes harsh real world. -
Gardening
This is an estimation of year, but this was when my family and I started to plant things yearly in our backyard. We started with a patch of dirt in our backyard that is now double the size plus a multitude of pots. Currently, we're growing tomatoes, potatoes, corn, onions, lettuce, garlic, pumpkins, and cucumbers. We also have an apple tree that is matured and grows apples and are currently growing an avocado tree. -
Baseball
This was when I first started playing baseball on a team. I was about 10 years old at this time. This is important to me because it was something that gave me some structure that wasn't school. It also showed me how to utilize teamwork and to communicate with a team. -
First Piano Performance
I played piano in front of my middle school as part of a class. This is the first of a few of them. This is important to me because it was the first step in getting comfortable with being on stage/presenting. It was also fun to play in front of people. -
Muse
I'm estimating with the year, but this is the time where I discovered my favorite band, Muse. Before Muse, I didn't have that much of a music taste. There were just some songs I liked that would just play on the radio. I have over 50 of their songs on my phone and plan on getting the rest of their songs. They are also one of the few bands where I can listen to an album start to finish and enjoy it all. -
Shed
I'm estimating the year, but this is when my dad and I built a whole shed from scratch during one summer. We bought all the wood ourselves and cut everything to size, and we even roofed it too. This is important because it was a fairly big job and it's cool to make something that is fairly permanent. -
Last Piano Performance
This particular performance is important to me because it was the last one and I played it during 8th-grade culmination. This time I didn't have other people playing before and after me, I was the only one playing piano that day. It was a nice way to finish off middle school. -
Washington D.C.
I went on a school trip to Washington D.C. during spring break. It's important to me because I had never been there and I just went with classmates so it gave me a bit of freedom that was new. -
Starting High School
This is a big one because high school can be such an important time for a lot of people. It kind of signifies when learning really picks up. It's fairly pivotal in regards to college and it was a step up in life. It was different and I learned a lot from that first year. -
First Concert
The first concert I ever been to was a Muse concert. It was held in the staples center and it was amazing. It was great to see my favorite band live. This is important to me because it is a night that I hold highly and had a great time there. Also a fun fact, Ms. Cheng was at that same concert. -
Cooking/Baking
It's hard to put a date on this because I've always been one to make my own food, but I chose 2016 because it's when I started to really make things from scratch. Food is a necessity, so why not have fun while you make it. Having someone enjoy the food is just an added bonus. -
Cow Chop
This wouldn't seem important to most people, but it's important to me. As cheesy as it sounds, Cow Chop is a youtube channel that has content that ranges from skits to game commentary. This is on the timeline because these guys can continuously put a smile on my face each time I watch a video. They've provided a lot of entertainment and a lot of laughs. -
Short Story
A few months ago I finished writing a short story. I worked hard on it and it gave me a real sense of accomplishment to finish it. I plan to put it on Amazon so that something I have created is out there -
Pencil
I like to make things and I made a pencil. It was made on a lathe which is a machine that takes a block of wood and spins it really fast. All you have to do is touch the tools onto the piece of wood and it just shaves off. In all it took about an hour and a half to make to get all the parts set up and everything, but it was fun and I think that it turned out pretty okay. -
Ciclavia
This was a biking path that ran from San Pedro to Wilmington. In all, it was about 15 miles and it was fun because I went with some friends. This is important because it's just a memory that I have that is positive and one that I like to remember, even if it is pretty recent.
