My Life

  • My Birth

I was born on June 15, 1999, which happened to be on my Grandpa's Birthday. My parents didn't really know what to name me, so they asked my brother, who was 4 years old at the time. At first his suggestions were of Pokemon names like 'Pikachu' and 'Charzard', but after being rejected, he came up with the name 'Brooke'. It was the name of his pre-school girlfriend. My parents both agreed they liked the name, and so, I was named Brooke Anne(after my great grandmother) MacLeod.
  • First family vacation

    First family vacation
Our first family vacation was in Cuba! It wasn't the best, but it was still a lot of fun. One of the things that I didnt't like about it was the food- I was and am a very picky eater so none of the food really appealed to me. Pretty much the only things I ate for the whole week were buns and pizza.
  • My First Hamster

    My First Hamster
Since my mom is allergic to practically every furry animal, so the only pets we could get were small ones, like hamsters. We chose our hamster based off of how friendly it looked, so we got my hamster who was orange and white, like the main hamster in this cartoon I watched. I named him Hamtaro, after that cartoon hamster, becasue he looked like him and it was the only name I knew how to spell, other than my own becuase the theme song spelled it out. So that's the story of my fisrt hamster.
  • First day of school

    First day of school
I went to school at John Darling Public School for Jk to Grade 6. My first teacher was Mrs. Cassidy, who I liked a lot.
  • Disney World!

    Disney World!
For the family vacation of 2006 we went to Disney Word! It was tons of fun and everyone had a good time. I managed to lose 3 of my teeth while I was there - one of them my dad pulled out, one came out when I was eating a lolipop and the other fell out on its own... after a rollercoaster. All in all the trip was unforgettable.
  • First guitar

    First guitar
My mom had been teaching my guitar from age 4, but I'd always practiced on her guitar. For my 7th birthday, they decided to get me a guitar of my own. It wasn't a good quality one- just one to start off on. It was small and purple and I loved it. I now have 2 guitars, one black accoustic, and the other a metallic purple electric.
  • Started Middle School

    Started Middle School
Middle School was a really big jump from my small elementary school. I went to West Heights for grade 7 and 8, and it was both scary and exciting.
  • First year of competitive volleyball

    First year of competitive volleyball
I played volleyball just for fun for a long time, but this year, I decided to tryout for the competeive team on Waterloo Tigers. I made it, and I've been playing for them ever since. Volleyball is a big part of my life, so this was an important milestone.
  • First day of High school

    First day of High school
The first day of school was both nerve racking and exciting, Luckily I didn't get lost, thanks to my map and my friends. It was a big step to go from middle school to high school, but I was okay.
  • Universal Studios

    Universal Studios
For the last family vacation, we went to Universal studios, which was one of my favorite vacations. It was like a small version of Disney World, which was nice because you could do everything in a few days and not miss out. My favorite part of the trip was Harry Potter World because I've loved Harry Potter since I was little. After spending 3 days in universal, we went on a cruise through the Bahamas which was really fun as well.
  • My brother moved out

    My brother moved out
My brother is four years older than me and he's in his second year of University at Guelph. He decided to live in Guelph with his friends in an apartment. Living without him is weird but, I got used to it pretty quickly. He visits on weekends sometimes, so we still se him often,
  • Getting a Cat

    Getting a Cat
My favorite animal has always been my cat, so I always asked for one, even though I knew the answer would be no. However, at my grandparents' cottage this summer, we learned that one of the other cottageres had got a cat that was hyppoallergenic. i begged my mom to go see if she was allergic, and she wasn't! So, we went to the breeder where we learned more about the breed (Bengal) and made sure she wasn't allergic. One week later, we got our kitten, Cleo, and brought her home.
