Moving To Australia
As a 6 year old boy I remember the heat and fumes hitting me as we stepped out of our plane. I had been very ill on the long trip from Amsterdam, but the heat and smell of fuel made me sick all over again. -
Moved into our own home
After 6 months of living in a rental property in the suburbs of Adelaide we moved to the country town of Balhannah. I loved it, there was an old railway station behind our house no longer in use, a perfect place for a boy to explore! -

High School - Glenunga International High
My time at this school was average. All my grades were average, my friends were average, im sure that most of the teachers didn’t even notice me. Probably because I wanted to be invisible. A teenager struggling with issues around sexuality has a pretty hard time. -
school... NEXT
So After 4 years at Glenunga my parents were worried about me. They thought there was something wrong with me and guessed that a change in school woudl fix the problem. What a waste of money! Nice school and all, but I was only there for 1 year, my final year. No friends. Failed 3 subjects! -
Here we go Again
So the South Australian Government had a year 13 program, where you could take the best of 2 years, in terms of subjects, and use them for your university entrance. I did my year 13 at Oakbank Area School, Applied Maths, Photography and Computer Studies - loved it!
