My Birthday
Hello, My name is Chang-Puguh Gui and I'm the youngest boy of 9 other brothers and sister, and let me tell you it stinks being the youngest brother. You never hear the end of the teasing its ridiculous. Anyways we are Chineese and my parents decided to move to America because they wanted their kids to live in a country where there was hope for them to live a great life. Im Writing my Autobiography so my decendents can see what we had to do so they could live the life that there living, so enjoy -
We Move into America
At this point im only one year old so i don't remember anyting that happened, but my mother remembers it very clearly. We were on a boat called the S.S Francis heading to Angles Island. The trip itself took 9 days. And once we finally arrived it took two hours to get everybody to pass inspection. And once we passed inspeciton we were on our way for a new life. -
We Start Our Own Buisneuss
My father was a potter in China, and his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather have been potters. So he just couldn't give that up. The Buisneuss's name is Gui's China, and it is actually doing very good; buisness is booming and we are strting to make a great living. Im excited for what America has to offer for us -
Lincoln is Assassinated.
Oh my word! Abraham Lincoln was Assassinated! My Father told me all about it after he got home from work. He said a man named John Wilkes Booth was the person who was responsible for the crime. Apparently, Booth went into the presidential Box at Fords Theatre in Washington D.C. and shot Lincoln in the back of the head at point blank range. Lincon dropped onconcious and Booth jumped onto the stage and yelled "Sic Semper Tyrranus!" meaning thus always to tyrrants. Lincoln will be missed. -
A New Professional Sport
Today im hearing a new sport is going professional. There's a sport called "Baseball" im not sure how it works quite yet, but it sounds cool from what my friends tell me. I think im going to play this sport, well if my father allows me to. He only likes it when I use my time constructivly. But Baseball does sound cool. -
Geronimo surrenders
Geronimo was a leader of many Indian people. He was a good leader too. He belived his people deserved the best and that is a good mindset to have expecially if your a leader of many people. He wanted his people to have more land because his people were dying on the land that they already had. They needed more in order to survive and the Government would not let him have it. And they began hunting him down. And after 15 years of chasing Geronimo finally surrendered. -
Haymarket Square Riot
In 1886, workers struck at the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company in Chicago. The workers on strike demanded an eight-hour workday, at a time when 60-hour work weeks were common. Since people were protesting at the factory, police were called and were asked to disperse the croud. Once the police came, they tried to do what they were asked to do, and a powereful bomb was thrown and caused 7 policemen to die and 23 civilians. Over 100 other people were injured due to the policemen shooting. -
First Flight
The Wright Brothers are very important, they are the people who invented the modern airplaine. The flight itself was only 12 seconds and covered 120 feet, but it changed modern technology. People kept talking about it and they came up with their own ideas for Airplaines. This is why Plane's are what they are today.
