My Game History

  • Cluedo

    Cluedo
Before video games, I played a lot of card and board games with my family. Cluedo is the most memorable, as we never had the official game, but rather, we made our own with LEGO mini figures, a board made from cereal boxes, and by having me and my sisters draw the different cards.

  • Kameo

    Kameo
When I think of important games to me, Kameo comes to mind, not only because I enjoyed playing it, but because I have good memories of playing it with my sisters. It was another game I watched my dad play. I remember me and my sisters being so scared of it at first! We barely even played the story; we just enjoyed exploring the various cities and making up stories about the NPCs.

  • Mini Ninjas

    Mini Ninjas
Mini Ninjas is a special game to me because it's the first video game I played! My family had an Xbox, and I remember watching my dad play various games - this was one of them. I also made my first console account at this time because I wanted to have my own game save.

  • Little Big Planet

    Little Big Planet
Little Big Planet was the first game I played on the PSVita, and a game I played a lot with my two sisters! I really enjoyed creating my own levels and publishing them for others to play! LBP allowed me to express my creativity as a child, and experiment with making my own things :)

  • Gravity Rush

    Gravity Rush
Gravity Rush is one of the first games I played on the PSVita, and I still have fond memories of it now. The visuals and style of the game, the gameplay itself, and the game's concept really appealed to me! It has also influenced what aspects of a game I look at first, which are primarily the story and visuals.

  • Minecraft

    Minecraft
Minecraft is another important game to me, because I fondly remember playing it with my sisters! We created many worlds and builds together and I will always remember it because of that! As a young child, I think it also allowed me to express my creativity and develop spacial visualisation.

  • Hatsune Miku Project Diva F

    Hatsune Miku Project Diva F
This is where I was introduced to rhythm games, with the first Project Diva game. My younger sister had the second game, but I primarily played this one - the first. I wanted to include this game because of its large impact on me and my tastes. As of now (2023), rhythm games are of the main genres of games that I play.

  • Code Realise: Guardian of Rebirth

    Code Realise: Guardian of Rebirth
This game introduced me to the visual novel genre of games. It can also be classified as an otome game, with various romance routes the player can go through. As someone who enjoys reading and was a big reader in my childhood, I found a lot of joy in this game and learning about the characters through the story.

  • Danganronpa Series

    Danganronpa Series
I really enjoy mysteries, interesting stories, and character design, so the Danganronpa Series was right up my alley! I played through the three main games from 2018-2020, and I found the visual novel and interactive elements very interesting! I found investigating murder scenes, and learning about the characters during 'free time' sections quite enjoyable.

  • Genshin Impact

    Genshin Impact
Unlike many other games I've played, which I was exposed to through my family, Genshin Impact was a game I found on my own. The story, scenery, characters, and combat are all very appealing to me and inspire me to create my own stories and characters!

Project Sekai: Colourful Stage ft. Hatstune Miku
Since I've liked Hatsune Miku games in the past, I downloaded the English release of Colourful Stage when I got my iPad! My love of rhythm games returned then, and it's a game I'm still currently playing. In addition to the rhythm game elements, there are various stories for the characters in the game, which I enjoy reading and learning about.

  • Animal Crossing: New Horizons

    Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Despite not having a Nintendo console until recently, I've been interested in Animal Crossing: New Horizons since its release. The style and characters are so cute, and cleaning up and building your own island seemed very calming to me. (I watched SO MANY island tour videos during the pandemic, and it kind of helped me during that time.)

  • Persona 5 Royal

    Persona 5 Royal
Persona 5 Royal is the game I'm currently playing, but I've always been interested in it due to its strong artistic and musical style. The soundtrack kept me sane during my Year 12 final assignments, and so far, the characters have been very relatable and likeable. Because of this, I'm inspired to pursue my own creative endeavours!
