BOOKS
My mother taught me how to read using ABAKADA by patiently introducing each letter of the Filipino alphabet, starting with the basics. She would guide me through the sounds of each letter, emphasizing repetition and simple syllables like "ba," "ka," and "da" to build my confidence. She used familiar words and objects, making the lessons engaging and relatable. Through consistent practice and encouragement, she helped me gradually develop my reading skills. -
TELEVISION AND DVD PLAYER
When I was 5 years old, I loved watching Michael Jackson on TV, amazed by his dancing. I would often listen to his DVD of the Bucharest 1992 concert on my DVD player. I also enjoyed watching cartoons on TV, getting lost in the fun stories and characters. Those were some of my favorite childhood moments. -
NEWSPAPER AND RADIO
As a kid, I was introduced to newspapers by my parents. My dad, who loves to read them every day, and my mom, who enjoys playing newspaper games like Sudoku. Meanwhile, my grandparents shared their love of the radio with me, where we’d listen to news, music, and stories together. These early experiences with both newspapers and radio became an important part of my understanding of the world. -
COMPUTER
When I was 8 years old, I didn’t have a computer at home, so I’d play games like NBA 2K and Counter Strike at a pisonet. My older brother got me into this, and I still go to a nearby computer shop to play games. -
CELLPHONE
After graduating from elementary school, I got my first cellphone, an OPPO A7, which was a big deal for me. Unfortunately, I lost it when I accidentally left it on top of a tricycle I had ridden. I only realized it was missing when it was too late and couldn’t recover it. Luckily, I still have a phone now, so I’m able to stay connected and enjoy the benefits of having one.
