In the beginning, I remember my teacher writing on the chalkboard. I remember clearly because the sound always gave me a headache. -
Computer

Tv with VCR
Teachers tried to integrate their lessons with videos using tv and a vcr. This sometimes became more time consuming than it was worth if the tape wasn't rewound. -
Oregon Trail
Oregon Trail is one was used as a reward in my classes. Everyone loved it. -
Overhead Projector
Everyday of my 4th grade year there was a morning problem on the projector. We all knew this meant come in get your spiral and sit down and work before the announcements came on. -
Dry Erase Board
I don't remember dry erase boards until 6th grade when I moved to Dallas from a tiny city.. I think I was more facinated that you could write on a board with a marker than the lesson. -
Mavis Beacon
Learning to type was always fin with Mavis. NOT! I always hunted and pecked for the letters anyways. -
Texting
Texting before it was texting. I cannot remember the amount of times I got in trouble for passing notes. It is so much easier to text on a cell phone now than it is to pass notes. -
Floppy Disk
This piece of equipment was necessary to education because it held all of your files. I remember having to write my book reports on the computer and saving it to this and turning in. -
Graphing Calculator
These were essential to my high school career. Algebra was not happening unless we could plug in the slope. -
