Akbar the Ruler
Remember as the greatest ruler of the Mughal Empire, Akbar, Babur's grandson, began ruling when he was 13 years old. During his 49 year ruling over the empire, Akbar had expanded the empire to Afghanistan and central India. -

Akbar's Government and Arts
Akbar inplimented Hindus to his empire's government. Also, he abolished slavery again all Non-Muslims so he could make peace throughout his empire. He encouraged artists throughout his rule to produce works throughout his court. -
Jahangir's Rule
Jahangir repaired monasteries and schools. Married a Persian woman named Mehrunissa or Nur Jahan. During his rule, women were given more prialeges including studying arts and science. -
Taj Mahal
Shah Jahan, Jahangir's son, built the Taj mahal in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal took 22 years for Shah Jahan and his workers to build. -
The Fall of the Mughal Empire
Aurangzeb, Shah Jahan's son, weakened the empire with reducing the size and Shrinking the resources the empire had. -
Later Rulers
Later rulers of the Mughals weakened the empire. Until foreign invaders from Great Britain took over in the 1700s. -

Betweeen 997-1030, Turkish Sultan Mahmud of Ghazna had sent forces to invade northern India 17 times. -
