  • (Them) Parents Get Hitched

    Marriage begins for Bruce and Laurie

  • (Me) Birth!

    Didn't ask to be born, but it happened!

  • (Them) Move to Orange County

    Mom and dad move us to Orange County from Westchester, LA.

  • (That) Bill Clinton Elected

    Bill Clinton is elected and my dad is happy.

  • (Them) A Best Friend is Born

    My brother is born. At this time, and for the next eighteen years or so, I do not consider this person a best friend, let alone a friend.

  • (Me) First Day of Kindergarten

    Dad walks me into the wrong Kindergarten class and embarrassment ensues.

  • (Me) Join AYSO

    Thus begins my hatred for sports

  • (Them) My First Grade Teacher Dies

    I bond with my loving first grade teacher, who sadly dies from a heart attack only a few months into the school year.

  • (Them) We Get Pebbles!

    We get Pebbles, a beautiful Australian Shepard.

  • (Me) Theater Camp

    Enroll in theater camp and discover that I like theater much better than sports.

  • (Embarrassing) I Play Basketball

    A couple of boys invite me to play basketball and I totally suck. Another instance of me realizing my hate for sports.

  • (Embarrassing) I Fall on the Playground

    I fall on the playground when I take a risky jump and sprain my back. I laid on my back while an ambulence was called and I was ushered off to the hospital. Luckily, when I got home, I got to stay in bed and watch TV and eat Subway.

  • (Them) Piper Dies!

    Piper the dog dies while I'm at science camp. I had a lot of fun at science camp, though.

  • (Me) Middle School Begins

    The struggle begins.

  • (That) September 11, 2001

    Terrorism comes to America and I still go to school that day.

  • (Them) We Get Kali!

    We get Kali, a ball of fluff Chow-mixed-with-Yellow-Lab.

  • (Embarrassing) Weight is Gained

    I gain some weight, and then I just keep gaining the weight.

  • (Embarrassing) I Perform "Free Your Mind" in Front of the Whole School

    I perform a lipsink to En Vogue's "Free Your Mind" with some friends, not knowing that it was actually very embarrassing and a bad idea. I wore a hot pink shirt that was too tight.

  • (Them) Three Family Members Die in a Year

    Three family members die, leading me to many funerals and questions about god.

  • (Me) Bat Mitzvah!

    I "become a woman" but I really just read from an old piece of parchment and get to have a really big party.

  • (Me) High School Begins

    I also join a theater program at my high school

  • (Me) I Fail to Get My License

    I cry hard and push my feet into the dashboard as my dad drives me home.

  • (Me) I Get My License

    I wait a few weeks and take the test again. I almost fail, getting 13 out of 15, but it's a pass!

  • (Them) Parents Split

    Parents split up and tell my brother and I while we are watching the 40 Year Old Virgin.

  • (Them) Geoff Joins SOCSA

    Geoff joins SOCSA and our friendship gets to a slow start.

  • (Me) Don't Go to Senior Prom

    I do not attend my senior prom, even though there's someone I want to go with.

  • (That) Obama is Elected

    Obama is elected, I am very happy.

  • (Embarrassing) I Get Broken Up With

    I get my little chubby heart broken by my first boyfriend. We went out for two and a half months but I always tell people it was three.

  • (Me) UC Berkeley, Hello!

    I attend Berkeley in the spring of 2009, starting on the best four years of my life, thus far.

  • (Me) I Join an Improv Team

    I join the college improv team, jericho! My commitment to the group is best described as unwavering.

  • (Embarrassing) Phone Goes Off in Final

    Phone goes off in my Anthropology final, which was a huge lecture-hall type class. I'm mortified.

  • (Me) Go to Chicago to Study Improv

    I spend a summer in Chicago at an improv theater taking classes. I meet two good friends, Judith and Ellie.

  • (Them) Geoff Joins jericho!

    Geoff joins jericho! copying me once again. Our friendship grows.

  • (Me) Graduate; See Europe

    I graduate from UC Berkeley and soon thereafter, head to Europe to study in Vienna. I also see Paris, Zurich, Halstatt, Prague, Budapest, Munich, Berlin, and Amsterdam.

  • (That) Obama is Re-elected

    Obama is re-elected and I am still happy.

  • Pebbles Dies

    Pebbles dies :(

  • (Me) Graduate from Other UCB, Pick Up a BF

    I graduate from UCB (an improv theater initialed the same as UC Berkeley). I meet my boyfriend Mike in my final class at UCB and we start dating when class ends.

  • (Me) Move to Chinatown

    Get a sweet apartment in Chinatown. My friend Michael moves in and, later, Mike moves in too.
