Martin Luther Writes 95 Thesis
Luther took stand against Frair Johann Tetzel who was selling indulges and using the money for the rebuilding St. Peters Cathedral. He wrote down 95 complaints about the Catholic Church and posted it to the door of a Catholic Church. He gained many followers due to the new invention of the printing press causing his words to spread everywhere. -

John Calvin’s Institutes of the Christian Religion
John Calvin had a big impact in spreading protestantism. He wrote "Institutes of the Christian Religion," this discussed the topic of Salvation, human nature, and most importantly God. His book was heavily influenced by Luthers idea that humans cannot earn salvation. He also talked about the doctrine called Predestination. This book is one of the foundations of later religion named Calvinism. -

Huguenots leader Henry of Navarre converted to catholic ending the massacre which lead christians to accept him as king. The Edict of Nantes granted the Protestants with religious freedom.
