The period of massive political upheaval in France, the end of the morachy and the first of this periods many uprisings. Considered by many to mark the begining of Modern History. -
The Sepoy Mutiny
The first failed Indian revolution against British control over the Sub-Continent. It however also marked the end of the East India Trading Companies rule over India and marked the begining of its rule by the British Monarchy. -
World War I
The First World War also know as the Great War or the War to End All Wars was the most deadly war in history in sheer numbers. Millions died and the war ended with the surrender of Germany and the dissolvment of its Empire along with the Austro-Hungarians and the dissolvment of the Russian Empire into the Soviet Union. -
Russian Revolution
The October Revolotuion was the end to the constitutional Monarchy set up in the Febuary Revolution. The Royal family were executed the Bolsheviks seized power and the Russian Civil War began. -
World War II
The Second World War, saw the rise and fall of Facism, the begining of the British Empires decline and the establishment of two Rival Super States the USSR (Soviet Union) and the USA (United States of America). -
The Vietnam War
The biggest war fought in the effort to contain Communism. The United States greatest military disaster and the sucess of the North in reunifying with the South under the ideals of Communism. Marked a shift in the Cold War from direct fighting to Proxy based warfare. -
The Return of Hong Kong to China
After the end of the Cold War, China and the United Kingdom enter into negotiations reguarding the fate of Britains overseas territory. British surrender to Chinese demmands and relinquish Hong Kong. Reguarded by many as the End of the British Empire.
