    Growing up in a small African town in the 80s, I never imagined the advanced technology in sci-fi movies could be real. But witnessing rapid technological progress has made me believe that anything is possible. It's exciting to think about the possibilities that technology offers, even though I may not have had the same level of exposure as others.

    Owning my first cell phone in high school was a milestone, despite being a basic Siemens model common in my hometown in Africa. Technology wasn't as advanced and owning a phone was a luxury. I didn't receive many calls, but having a phone was still a gratifying experience. It's amazing to see how far technology has come, but the memories of owning my first phone and the sense of connection it provided are still cherished.

    After graduating high school in 2006, I had an 8-month wait before starting college due to government procedures. I got a job at a gaming store, where people could pay to play. This was exciting for me, as PlayStation was previously only accessible to wealthy kids. Managing the store allowed me to play as much as I wanted and organize competitions for kids. It was a wonderful experience and a great way to spend the waiting period before college.
