    It was the second war between Roman Republic and its neighbors the Latin. The war ended the dissolution of the Latin League. Rome sent ten leading men among the Latins when they found out about the Latins' secret talks with the Campanians. The latins that were forced to leave Campania moved to Latium. Rome won the war and made some of the Latin towns Rome.

    It was a war between Rome and the Samnites. The war was started by Rome trying to expand in the Samnites territory . The Samnites had twice the amount of land then Rome. From 311 and 304 the Romans won multiply victories from the Samnites and Etruscans. A lot of tribes were joining the Samnites but they still lost and Rome won.

    This was the third war between the Romans and the Samnites. This war started by trying to take over most of central and southern Italy. In 294 the Samnites raided three of the Romans Armies. In 291 BC Quintus Fabius Maximus Gurges defeated the Samnites largest city. After the war the Romans went to take over the Sabines.

    Pyrrhic War

    It was a war between the Pyrrhus/Tarentum and the Romans. The Tarentum attacked a Roman fleet which made the Romans declare war. The Tarentums later ask the Pyrrhus for help. There were two battles in 280 BC, Battle of Heraclea and Battle of Asculum. The last battle fought in this war is the Battle of Beneventum which was fought in 275.

    It was the first of three was between the Ramones and the Ancient Carthage. In 264 the Battle of Messana was fought for Rome trying to take over the city of Messina. In 262 the Battle of Agrigentum took seven months. Rome attempted the second largest scale land operation in 256/255 BC. Rome won the war with there navy.

    The Romans and the Italian trades routes were suffering so much that Rome had to do something. In 229 BC Rome took control of the island of Illyria. Dyrrhachium and Issa fell under Romes ‘protection’. In 228 BC Illyricum made peace. Teuta was forced to cede portions of her kingdom along the coast to Roman control.

    It was a war between Rome and Gauls and many more. 390 BC: Brennus lead an army and defeated Rome's army in the battle of Battle of the Allia 298-290 BC: The Samnites attacked making it the Third Samnite War. 225 BC: The Gauls defeated the Romans first but later the Romans defeated the Gauls. The Romans beat all of the other groups.

    It was the second war between the Roman and the Illyrians. In 219 BC, the Romans were at war with the Celts of Cisalpine Gaul. In 220 BC an attack was sent out but failed. The Demetrius eventually captured 50 ships after that attack. The Romans beat the Illyrians.

    It was the second war between Rome and Carthage. It is also called The Hannibalic War or by the Romans the War Against Hannibal. In 219 Carthaginian general Hannibal's conquest of the pro-Roman Iberian city of Saguntum, which started the war. The Scipio brothers captured Saguntum in 212 BC. The Romans beat the Carthage.

    It was a war between Rome and Macedonian. By 208 BC, the Philip invaded the Aetolians without their ally. In 205 BC, Scipio's invasion forced Hannibal to go back to Carthage and Rome finally dealt with Philip. At the end of 205 BC the Philip got to keep all the stuff they took over because of a peace treaty. The Romans beat the Macedonians.

    It was the second war between Rome and Macedonian. Rome enters the war in 200 BC. In 196 Flamininus proclaimed the 'Freedom of the Greeks'. The Philip were forced to abandon all their possessions in southern Greece, Thrace and Asia Minor. The Romans beat the Macedonians.

    It was a war between Rome and Sparta. Nabis signed a peace treaty with Rome but later betrayed them. By 192, Nabis who had built a new fleet and strengthened his army, besieged Gythium. Sparta lost its position as a major power in Greece after the war. The Romans defeated Sparta.

Aetolians siege lasted for two months. The Achaeans were forced to pay 1,000 talents of silver to the Romans when they lost. The Romans came out victorious.

People of the town of Complega, went to Gracchus’ camp pretending to be peace negotiators. Appian wrote that Gracchus' ‘treaties were longed for in subsequent wars’. The Romans beat the Celtiberian.

Aemilius Paullus arrived and immediately set about training and organizing his army. The worst victim of the Roman victory, however, was Epirus The Romans beat the Macedonian.

Rome captured of many royal flags, other booty, the furniture of the king himself when they won. The Romans beat the Illyrian.
