So, the tribes supported the confederacy, South began to enlist the 5 Tribes and other Natives, tribes signed treaties and associated with the Confederacy, In exchange for tribes would supply troops and help fight in the war. South surrendered in 1865, the Union did not treat the tribes fairly and ignored all past treaties. -

Treaty signed by Tribes in Territory that ended slavery. Gave up western half of Territory, power was limited, loss of Territory meant you had to deal with white settlers and other Native Tribes. Let cattleman run herds through land. -
