Ottoman Empire Decline
With the Ottoman Empire declining, it joined the losing side of the war in WWI. After the war ended, the Ottoman Empire was split into different states that make up the Middle East today. -

Egypt denied Israel access to the Seuz Canal. To retaliate, the Israelis waged war against the egyptians, and won their rights to the Suez Canal back. -

The PLO stands for Palestinian Liberization Organization. It was made so that they could create an independent state of Palestine. -

The six day war started from the Israelis launching a surprise bombing onto the Egyptians. The Israelis raided the West Bank and took it over. -
Yom Kippur War
This war was launched on a holy Jewish day. It was lead by Egypt and Syria. -
Persian Gulf War
The Iraq government attacked Kuwait for taking more oil than supposed to. To prevent the damaging of oil, America attacked Iraq, also defending Kuwait. -
9/11
The attack of the terrorists Al-Qaeda. This attack killed 3,000 people and destroyed the world trade center. -
Afghan War
As a result of 9/11, the U.S attacked Afghanistan, ending the unfair government, the Talban. They attacked the mountains, driving the Al-Qaeda out. -
Iraqi War
This war started because the U.S had good reason to suggest that Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destruction. The prime minister, Saddam Hussein was also accused of supporting Al-Qaeda. The U.S attacked Iraq, and dragged Saddam Hussein out. -
Saddam Hussein's Excecution
Saddam Hussein was believed to have helped Al-Qaeda. After he didn't surrender, he was taken in the Operation Iraqi Freedom, and later executed. -
Syrian Civil War
Lately, Syria has been rumored to use chemical weapons against their citizens. A World War almost started, for chemical weapons are Weapons Of Mass Destruction. -
Osama Bin Laden's Death
On May 2, 2011, the U.S found Osama Bin Laden. Operation Neptune Spear, or the assassination of Osama Bin Laden, took place in Pakistan.
