Michael competes in the 2003 World Championships in Barcelona, Spain. He sets two world record and and broke world five records in swimming. -
2004 Olympics Games-- Down but not Broken
Michael tries his best to beat the U.S. swimmer, Mark Spitz who won seven gold medals in the 1972 Olympics, and has to accomplish this by winning gold in every of the set events. Michael sets the new world record but is not able to achieve the big feat, because his friend and teammate is sick in one of the races and the wins the third place. -
Back at WInning it All!
Michael broke four of his own records, earns eight Olympic gold medals, and breaks the records for most Olympic gold medals. -
First Retirement
At this point Michael desires to try new events, and and retires from professional swimming competition, and concludes his first early retirement as the most successful swimmer of the meet for the third Olympics in row. However, this will not be his performance charging through the waters.
