Michael Jordan attended Trask Middle School along with his two older brothers. he recieved awards for his football and basketball skills. -
High School
Michael then went to Emsley A. Laney High School. He had not been very academically focused but got his grades up once in High School. -
College
Jordan was highly recruited by many top basketball colleges but one stood out to him. He decided to go to North Carolina and play under the esteemed Dean Smith. -
College Carrer
Jordan averaged 13.4 ppg his freshman year. he made 53.4% of his shots. He was the source of many clutch victories including one specific championship game. -
Game Winner
In 1982 the Tar-heels were in the championship game against Georgetown. The game was tied and Carolina had the ball. They gave it to Jordan with the time winding down...... and he made it. -
The Draft
MJ was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in 1984. Although he was the third pick he ended up being one of the best draft choices in history for the Bulls. -
Early NBA
During his rookie season in the NBA, Jordan averaged 28.2 ppg on 51.5% shooting. He was well loved by everyone, even opposing teams. He was voted to be in the all star game. Although many liked him there were some players who were out to stop him. -
Roadblock
When Jordan was chosen for the All Star game some veteran players were upset. They thought he was getting too much attention. Players on his team wouldn't pass too him at all in games. This was called the "Freeze Out". Eventually he was able to be part of the team again once the players realized he was a valuable part of the team. -
MVP?
Michael Jordan was named Defensive Player of the Year In '88 due to his 1.6 blocks per game and 3.6 steals per game. That year the Bulls finished the regular season 50-32. -
Three Peat
Jordan was becoming a legend as his career went on. In 1991-1993 the Bulls won three National Championships in a row. He was averaging over 30 points per game. -
Retiring
In 1995, MJ retired. He was well loved by everyone who watched basketball. His number was retired from every team he's played for. many say he was the best player ever. -
Air Jordan
MJ was asked for a big time sports line in Nike call ed Air Jordan. He gladly accepted it and started a huge profit off the Air Jordan Sports line. -
After Retirement
MJ did lots after his retirement. He liked to golf and stayed in shape while supporting the NBA. -
Present Day
Jordan is arguably the greatest basketball player in history. He loves basketball and loves the teams he's played for. There isn't a single sports fan who doesn't remember the name Michael Jordan.
