Mayan
They were located in the Yucatan peninsula, the central zone of Petén, the Highlands of Chiapas and Guatemala. Architectural structures: Temple of the Great Jaguar in Tika and archaeological area "Chichen Itza".. -
Period: 150 to 750
Teotihuacan
It was located in the Valley of Teotihuacan, which covers currently the state of Mexico and Puebla. Architectural structures: pyramid of the sun and the moon. -
Period: 900 to 1200
Toltec
They were located in central Mexico, the coasts of the Gulf of Mexico, part of the Bajío and the Soconusco area. Architectural structures: Atlanteans of Tula, the chacmool and the Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli Temple in Tula de Allende. -
Period: 1325 to 1521
Aztec
They occupied what are currently the states of Mexico City, Mexico State, Hidalgo, Veracruz, Puebla, Oaxaca and a part of what is now Guatemala. Architectural structures: The "Templo Mayor" which is located in the "Zócalo" of Mexico City.
