East Bay Added
In the 1970's, the East Bay apparattus was added to the Central Fire Station. -
Dorm Room Added
In 1985, the dorm room and day room were added on to the fire station. -
Voters Approve Millage
The voters approved the $3.5 million millage to build a new fire station on the lot at the corner of Central Park Drive and Okemos Road. -
Station Closed
The Central Fire Station was closed on Feb. 12, 2014 -
Temporary Station Opening
The Temporary fire station at the Service Center is set to open during the week of April 21, 2014. -
New Station Opening
The new Central Fire Station is set to open in May of 2015 according to Fire Chief Fred Cowper.
