    In the 1950s suits were typically very durable and made out of thicker materials. The blazers were slightly tapered towards the hips and the hips were straight loose and typically pleated in the front

    1960's
    During the 60s fabrics lightened up a little and suits began to shift towards more formal settings. Colors began to expand more and the suits began to take on a more box shape that fit to the body.

    1970's
    The 70s were by far the worst decade for men’s fashion in recent history. Color exploded in the mainstream in uncontainable ways and the formality of suits became very optional. Suits became very tight fitting and tie wear became very creative.
  • 1980's

    1980's
    The 80s returned to some normalcy recovering from the wild 70s.
    The colors during this decade remain fairly neutral while returning to a very basic fit.
    Blazers and pants would be adapted to fit the body well however still loose fitting.
  • 1990's

    1990's
    The 90s were an interesting time for suits. Everyone kind of looked like they were middle schoolers wearing their fathers clothing.
    Pants were incredibly baggy and blazers were more like raincoats.
    The colors were mainly simple and complementary.
