    The roaring 20's had people taking risk and having fun with clothes. Men were more casual with soft collars and waistcoats starting to decrease. To go along with trying new things, the pin striped suit gained it's popularity in this decade.
  • 1930's Pleat and Zipper Fly

    1930's Pleat and Zipper Fly
    After the stock market crash, fashion went back to being more serious because men were always having to work to survive. This is why they cherished their free time even more and sports became more popular. An athletic silhouette became the trend through height and width. A pleat was added to suits to add height and broader shoulders were favored. The zipper fly was also introduced and was less bulky than the button fly.
  • 1940's Uniform Inspired

    WWII caused fashion to come to a halt. Clothes were rationed and men were always in their uniforms. Clothes were made in the simplest of ways and style was not as important. Uniforms inspired clothing and were made into everyday work wear.
  • 1950s Bermuda Shorts

    New manufacturing processes made clothes more affordable. Textured, tweed, and corduroy suits were popular. Bright colors and casual wear came back into the picture. Bright colored and patterned knee length shorts made their debut, creating the Bermuda short.
  • 1960's Plaid Pants and Turtleneck

    The 1960's were a less conservative time. Men's suits had flared legs and even geometric designs. Knit shirts were popular to create a comfortable but polished look. Plaid pants with a solid turtleneck was the go to look.
