    In the 1940's, the Athletic Model Guild marked a period of showcasing the male body. Men's swimwear could be described as disappearing...swim suits became smaller and the nude body was celebrated.

    Men's swimwear in the 1950's showcased a growing middle class and interest in leisure wear. Men often wore hats, sunglasses, fun prints, and unbuttoned shirts to accessorize their trunks.
