    The journey is the reward! I knew from a very young age that with a family full of teachers and great mentors along the way, that I would always become a teacher. There was no turning back and the future looked very bright.

    First year of college and first time living away from home. A great experience and many memories made! Began my four year degree as an Elementary Generalist with a Minor in Language Arts.

    Transfer to University of Alberta
    Third Year of University. I moved to the big city and felt like a fish out of water! This experience challenged me and made me step out of my comfort zone for sure.

    Let the adventure begin. I got a full time job in a Special Education Classroom teaching Grade 4 and 5 Strategies.

    My first son is born and my whole perspective and life changed in an instant. I took my first year off from school since starting in Kindergarten.

    I returned to teaching after my first maternity leave. Changed schools, grades and I had a 1 year old at home. Life was busy and full of challenges and let's be honest, many tears!

    My husband and I welcomed our second son into the world and life is forever changed. Two boys = luckiest mom ever! Loved this maternity leave a lot, as my older son was two and learning so much everyday. Really tried to enjoy every moment of this year.

    Transfer to Holy Family School
    I made the decision to transfer schools, as my oldest is getting ready to start Kindergarten and I wanted the opportunity to see him at school everyday.
  • Begin Masters

    Begin Masters
    After a few years of contemplation, I decided to take the plunge. I applied to the City U Masters Program and a new journey of learning has begun. A huge decision, but I'm looking forward to the adventure!
  • Accepted Into Aspiring Leaders Program

    Accepted Into Aspiring Leaders Program
    I also decided to apply to the Red Deer Catholic Aspiring Leaders Program to begin my journey into Administration and Instructional Leadership. Another major step, but an exciting one for sure!
