The compromise of MissouriThe was a delicate balance in the Congress between slave states an free states. But then Missouri got enough people to qualify as a new state. They would be a slave state, and that would give them greater power in the congress. So they let Missouri in as a slave state and Maine in as a free state. That was the compromise.

Cherokee Removal ActThe Cherokee react to the Indian removal act that they didn't like it and sued the the federal government, claiming they had the right to stay and after a lot of struggles they won. Cherokee removal, part of the Trail of Tears, refers to the forced relocation between 1836 and 1839 of the Cherokee Nation from their lands in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas , etc.

Nat Turner’s Rebellion
The Slave RebellionHe was an African slave and was very religious. He believed God chose him to lead a rebellion against slave owners. The rebellion consisted of over 70 Africans slaves and killing all the white people they could find. Turner armed his fellow rebels with hatchets, axes, and knives. They managed to kill at least 55 whites before they were defeated by militia.

It was an armed conflict between the United States and Mexico from 1846 to 1848 in the wake of the 1845 U.S. annexation of Texas, which Mexico considered part of its territory despite the 1836 Texas Revolution. Combat operations lasted a year and a half, from spring 1846 to fall 1847. Another American army captured Mexico City, and the war ended in victory for the U.S.

Nullification CrisisThe Nullification Crisis was a sectional crisis during the presidency of Andrew Jackson created by South Carolina's 1832 Ordinance of Nullification. This ordinance declared by the power of the State that the federal Tariffs of 1828 and 1832 were unconstitutional and therefore null and void within the sovereign boundaries of South Carolina.
