The Declaration of Independence was a statement adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, which announced that the thirteen American colonies, then at war with Great Britain, regarded themselves as independent states, and no longer a part of the British Empire. -

The American Civil War (1861–1865), in the United States often referred to as simply the Civil War and sometimes called the "War Between the States", was a civil war fought over the secession of the Confederate States. Eleven southern slave states declared their secession from the United States and formed the Confederate States of America ("the Confederacy"); the other 25 states supported the federal government ("the Union"). -
Michael M. Born
Michael McDaniel wasn’t born but was imagined in 1984 in a blizzard in downtown Dallas by a Ballerina and a Soccer Player. He crawled from the æther into a world that desperately needed him to do things, things that needed doing. Later, he would go on to save 138 people from a sinking ship in the turbulent Atlantic waters, and he won a Nobel Peace Prize for his groundbreaking work in Chemistry, or whatever. Oh, and somewhere in there he graduated from A&M and became a writer.
