    The conference was such an invaluable experience with my Garvey and Temple staff. The district was able to pay the staff to learn about best practices from renowned authors and educators, like Kelly Gallagher. Because of this conference, I was able to implement lots of digital tools and effective teaching strategies into my pedagogy. I learned about Newsela, backchanneling apps, blogs, PBLs with digital tools, infographics tools, Google tools, and etc.

    At first, I wasn't sure if Google Classroom would work with my students. After giving it a try, I was able to co-plan and co-teach with my colleagues on G-classroom. It made planning and teaching lessons more efficiently for me. As for my students, it made learning for effective for them.

S​tudents still need to learn how to use technology strategically to find and evaluate information, connect and collaborate, produce and share original content, and use the Internet and technology tools to achieve many academic, professional, and personal goals.

Before taking this course, I have never heard of the terms, 'flipped classroom" and "principles of universal design of learning." I believe I became more aware of my students and improved my teaching style when I took this course.
