Vladek marries his first wife, Anja Spiegelman, mother of Richieu and Art -
Richieu is born
Vladek's first son, Richieu, is born. -
Richieu is poisoned
Richieu is killed by his aunt, to avoid the gas chambers of Auschwitz. -
Vladek and Anja are sent to Auschwitz
During an escape to Hungary, Vladek and Anja are caught by the nazis and sent to Auschwitz. -
Vladek reunites with Anja
Vladek is moved to Birkenau where Anja is located, and manage to obtain some contact with his wife. -
Vladek's illness
Vladek is relocated to a displaced persons's camp in Garmisch Partenkirchen and is diagnosed with Typhus and Diabetes -
Gross-Rosen
Everyone was evacuated by the Nazis and forced to march (death march) to Gross-Rosen in Germany. -
Dachau
The ones remaining after the march were then transferred to Dachau and later liberated and relocated in Switzerland. -
The War finally comes to an End.
WW2 ends and Vladek along with others are found by a group of Americans. -
Anja
Vladek travels back to Sosnowiec, Poland to reunite with his dear wife, Anja. -
Art Spiegelman is born
Vladek and Anja's second son and author of Maus, is born in Stockholm, Sweden -
Anja passes away
Anja commits suicide supposedly due to the trauma suffered during the Holocaust. -
Maus is published
The grahic memoir, Maus, by Art Spiegelman is publicized and gains worldwide attention. -
Vladek passes away
Vladek Spiegelman passes away from Congestive Heart Failure.
