The day our troops stormed Normandy Beach in France. This victory was largely told to the people either via radio or newspaper. Helped make Maericans support the war more. -

This bombing, as well as Hiroshima, was the official end of World War II, causing Japan to surrender. This was shown everywhere the eye could see -

Puerto Rican nationalists attempt to assassinate president Truman. This was widely covered as is any attempt. -

This was a iracle in the science and medical fields. There was finally a solution to the epidemic known as polio. Helped many people and still does today. -
