    but slavery didn’t stop.

    the SOUTHERN STATES wanted to continue slavery because farmers needed workers on their plantations while the NORTHERN STATES wanted to stop it.

    250.000 people, black and white, marched to protest against discrimination. On that day King gave one of the most famous speeches in history: “I HAVE A DREAM”
