Finish Make-up Course
Finish the make-up course to become a fully qualified MUA and Hairstylist. This would have taken two years to complete. -
Begin to build a client base a Freelance MUA working at home.
Turn a room into a type of salon area and start to create a client base by doing make-up. This will likely take a few months to a year and will cost quite a bit of money for equipment and decorations. -
After that
Once a good clientele has been built, start learning new treatments such as waxing, semi-permanent lashes etc. to increase profits in the future. British Beauty Academy present many courses in Manchester and the price includes the kit too eg I can do an eyelash extension course for a day at £189 -
A good portfolio has been built
Start applying for jobs in the actual industry eg. photoshoots, events. This can cost a lot in travel but should have a good kit built and therefore shouldn't need to spend as much on that. I'll have to be prepared for long days -
Work my way up
I will then continue working my way up to continue doing Fashion looks for the like of high-end companies as well as some Freelance in between when there's few jobs available. Costs may be quite a lot or paid for by the company but my kit will be expensive by now.
