President Paul von Hindenburg assigned Hitler as Chancellor of Germany on that day. In the hope of creating a stable government, the elderly President Hindenburg agreed to the plan. Hitler took power, the support for Communist and Nazi parties arose.

Bataan Death March
U.S. surrender of the Bataan Peninsula on the main Philippine island of Luzon to the Japanese during World War II, the approximately 75,000 Filipino and American troops on Bataan were forced to make an arduous 65-mile march to prison camps. The marchers made the trek in intense heat and were subjected to harsh treatment by Japanese guards.

Atomic Bomb #1
Germany surrendered Japan didn't want to, and they urged to fight till the very last moment. Due to that, America dropped its first ever atomic bomb on Hiroshima, which was an important military center. The bomb killed thousands of innocent lives.

Atomic Bomb #2
The destruction of Hiroshima didn't bring Japan to surrender due to its pride, so the US dropped another atomic bomb on the city of Nagasaki. The bomb was called "fat man". After "fat man" was dropped the Japan surrendered.

Japan Surrenders
Japan was almost completely destroyed due to the atomic bombs that were launched on its two cities (Nagasaki and Hiroshima) by the US. President Truman thought that his decision of bombing Japan was a good one, and he said that if he had the chance he would bomb them once again.
