Hull's Proclamation
General William issued Hull's Proclaation to try to get people from the upper part of Canada to fight with the Us against Great Britain. This ended up backfiring and it gave Detroit to the British on August 16, 1812 to Isaac Brock. -
Capture of Detroit
Sir Isaac Brcok, who was a commander of forces in upper Canada, became allies with the Native Americans who was under Tecumseh and then led them and Brtish forces to a victory against the US with the alliance. William Hull then surrendered. -
Battle of Queenston Heights
General Sir Isaac Brock was the British Commander and the Americans were under Generals Stephen Van Rensselaer and Alexander Smyth. It was a victory for the British although General Brock was killed. This battle ended the US's second attempt to invade Canada. -
Battle of Frenchtown
Commanded by General Winchester, a branch of Kentucky troops were set to drive the British from Frenchtown. The US troops were captured by British and and Native Americans; therefore the US surrendered. -
Battle of York
An American force made their way toward York in upper Canada which was defended by Major General Roger Hale Sheaffe and his regulars, militia and Ojibway natives. -
Battle of Beaver Dams
Laura Secord overheard a message that the Americans were going to ambush the British, so she went around the US troops and delivered the message to the British. The British took nearly 500 US troops. The British won. -
Battle of Thames
The British abandonded Detroit and crossed into Canada with 600 Indians under Chief Tecumseh. British General Proctor and many of his men fled the fight after the first exchange. Tecumseh stayed and was found dead on the battlefield. The Americans won. -

A force consisting of British regulars, militia and Mohawk warriors under Charles de Salaberry, a French-Canadian who served as a British officer, repelled an American force attempting to invade Canada. -

The Battle of Chippawa was a victory for the United States Army in the War of 1812, during an invasion of Upper Canada along the Niagara River. -
Battle at Lundy's Lane
The battle took place in Canadia and US General Jacob Brown with General Wifield Scott fought against Lieutenant General Gordon Drummond. No side won territory. -
Battle of Lake Champlain
Thomas Macdonough commanded the American fleet of 4 ships and 10 rowing galleys against General Sir George Prevost's 4 ships and 12 rowing galleys. Macdonough forced the British to engage the US head on and the British surrendered.
