Mahatma Ghandi went to Natal, South Africa for a job in 1893 so he could support his family. -
Refusing to take off turban
Gandhi went to court and while there he was asked to take off his turban. He refused to and walked out. -
Thrown off the Train
On Gandhi's trip to South Africa he bought a first class ticket on his train ride there. Another passenger complained but Ghandi refused to move so he was thrown off the moving train. -
No charges
In December there was a plaque so Gandhi and his family had to sail to South Africa. When the plaque had ended and they were allowed to leave the ship Gandhi was attacked. The police found the criminals, but Gandhi told them he wasn't going to press any charges. -
Boer War
When Gandhi was in South Africa the Boer War broke out. He puts together an ambulance corps while the war is going on. -

Ghandi returns to India to help the Indian Natonal Cingress. When he returned to South Africa Indians were being forced to register as part of Great Britian. Gandhi and some of the other Indians refused to do so. -

When Gandhi reurned to England a large group of Indians were gathered around the villages and were having a meeting. The British had banned any gatherings, so when they saw the Indians all gathered around they started to shoot at them for ten consecuative minutes. Thousands died and many were injured -

Chaos in India
