In 1893 Gandhi went to South Africa. He went here to attended legal things and to speak the word.

While the Boer War was going on, Gandhi set up something called “ambulance corps”. This organization consisted of about 300 free Indians and almost 800 laborers. This was to help the British.

Gandhi started a peaceful revolution. This revolution was for him to say that he would go to jail or die before he would listen to the anti-Asian law.

Gandhi launched a campaign against Britain that would force the Indiana’s to boycott British goods, and the government.

After the boycott, this lead to imprisonment. This sentenced him to 6 years.

Gandhi changed and just become th leader of everyone but retired as head of the party leader.

This is the year that India won independence becuase of Gandhi. This cause the 2 countries to split into India and Pakistan. This then brought riots.

Sadly in 1948, Gandhi died due to being killed by a Hindu.
