    The Boston Tea Party was a political protest in Boston, Massachusetts. American colonists were frustrated and angry at Britain for imposing “taxation without representation,” so they dumped 342 chests of British tea into the harbor. The event was the first major act of "revolting" against British rule. It showed Great Britain that Americans wouldn’t take taxation and they would fight for their independence.

    This act suspended Chinese immigration for ten years and declared the Chinese as ineligible for naturalization. The act was renewed in 1892 for another ten years, and in 1902 Chinese immigration was made permanently illegal. The legislation proved very effective, and the Chinese population in the United States sharply declined.

    Double Salchow
    A double salchow is the same as the axel jump, but with a different entry. In the axel, you swing your leg up and rotate, but in a double sal you do a free turn and jump off of your inside edge. Ulrich Salchow invented the jump in 1909.

    World War I began after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire (the Central Powers) fought against Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Romania, Japan and the United States (the Allied Powers). When the war ended, more than 16 million people were dead.

    The Treaty was written by mostly Allied Powers ending World War I. Wilson made the fourteen points and some of his points were taken and put in the treaty but most of the Treaty was harsher than what Wilson had put. They showed no mercy for Germany and they wanted them to suffer.

The scratch spin is where you stand on your dominant leg while your other leg wraps around the dominant leg.
