Johannes Gutenberg takes credit for the invention of the printing press. They had to copy everything by hand. Eventually it was noted that was very time consuming. A man by the name of Leon Battista Alberti created the anemometer. This device was used to catch the force of wind and the power. They were disks on a thinner stick. In 1517 Martin Luther wrote up the 95 thesis. This consisted of the issues he had with how the church was running. He then nailed them to the church door. They were then copied and made into books.

The submarine was first thought of by Leonardo da Vinci. The first built submarine was able to stand 3 hours submerged. These submarines were often hand powered with a foot peddle to help steer. There were tubes for air passages.
