    U.S supreme court ruled that segregation was unconstitutional.

  • Supreme Court issued Brown ll

    Ordered schools to desegregate at a faster pace.

  • First integration of high schools

    Little rock was one of the first schools to integrate.

  • National Guard called

    Governer Faubus called national guard to prevent the African American students from entering.

  • Mother league protest & Judge Ronald Davis statement.

    Mother League help a protest at the school against segregation, and Judge Ronald Davis stated that desegregation will continue as planned.

  • First day of school

    First day of classes. 8 students arrived together; Eckford arrived separately. They were being surrounded by students, parents and the National Guard.

  • Judge Davies

    Judge Davies ordered that National Guard to be removed from the school.

  • Police escort

    The 9 students arrived at the school escorted by police, while nearly 1,000 white protesters were outside.

  • First full day

    Little Rock 9 first full day of classes, although being harassed they had a good day at school.

  • Graduation

    Ernest Green became the first black students to graduate from Central High.

  • Governer Faubus closed Central High

    Governer Faubus closed all Central high schools to prevent integration.

  • Reopening

    The schools reopened
