Anti-Reader
As a little child, I didn't like reading and would rarely be found sitting down reading a book. Words were hard to read at during this time -
Summer School
Before my 2nd grade year, I was placed in summer school to due to the lack of improvement of my reading comprehension. I begin to understand the importance of reading as I wanted to read the higher books like other kids in my class -
Reading groups
Due to my lack of reading and literacy, I was placed in a reading group to help improve my reading skills during my early years of elementary school. -
Level Up
After a few more months of tests to improve my reading and with the help of the reading teacher, I improved my reading level and no longer the help of an adult -
New Reader
As the year progress, I enjoyed reading. I started to pick books out from the library and read any chance that I could. Teachers noticed my sudden improvement and placed me in a higher reading level. -
Inspired Teacher
With my new found love of reading, I began to like the idea of becoming a teacher and would pretend to read to a class in front of my stuff animals. -
Favorite Childhood Series
Dear Dumb Diary was the first series I had ever read when I was younger. It was a series I would read multiple times and never get sick of it. To this day, I still remember the excitement I had felt finishing a book -
Reading and Writing
From the start of middle school to now as a high schooler, writing had became an outlet for me whenever I didn't have the energy to read. English has always been a favorite subject of mine because of the stories and analyzing text.
