    Linked in was founded on May 5, 2003, the founders are Reid Hoffman, Allen Blue, Konstantin Guericke, Eric ly, and Jean-Luc Vaillant, the head quarters of Linkedin are in Mount View, CA, US.

  • Users increased to 20 million members.

    The business application had a lot of interest on professional use by many business people in the industry.

  • Sequoia Capital and Greylock partners purchased 5% percent of it, for $53 miillions.

    This capitals purchased 5% of the Linkedin corporation, this 5% cost them nearly 54 million dollars.

  • Filed for an intial public offering.

    Linkedin was ready to offer their public services to people in the industry of business who where interested in using it.

  • Linkedin had more than 33.9 million visitors by this time.

    The company became a really sucessful outcome and by 9 years after launching it they had more visitors than myspace at that time.

  • As of this date linkedin had 24 languages.

    The linkedin application had 24 different languages between Arabic, Chinese, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Malay, between many others.

  • The vistors increased to 184 million users.

    By this time many people had knew about it and didn't doubt in trying it.

  • It has more than 364 million members form more than 200 countries.

    By March 2015 the users were from many different countries and after 12 years of launching it most of the people knew of it and it worked really well for them and became an active user.
